Uska koi bhi vaadha na hoga adhura None of His promises will go unfulfilled
Har ek vaadha uska hota hai pura Every one of His promises are fulfilled
Uska koi bhi vaadha …… None of His promises ……
August 2017. I have woken up this morning in LA listening to a beautiful song – Uska koi bhi vaadha na hoga adhura.
My mind wanders through the events of the last few months of holidaying in England, spending time with my siblings and then my eldest daughter and her family especially my two beautiful grandsons. I bask in the joy of not only those amazing days but the ones we look forward to here in LA with my second daughter, her husband and the arrival of another little one soon. The song continues to play on my heart strings –
Uska koi bhi vaadha na hoga adhura
Har ek vaadha uska hota hai pura
None of His promises will go unfulfilled
Every one of His promises are fulfilled
And then I remembered. I remembered God’s promise to me many decades ago when I was reading Isaiah 54 and when I was concerned about our children who are so much in our hearts, always.
The words “All your children will be taught by the Lord and great will be their peace” had clung to my heart and since then I have not hesitated to lean on them throughout our children’s growing years. This promise continues to stand true even today in their lives so spread out in the three different directions far across the seven seas from us.
Each child has a unique set of circumstances as each journeys through his / her life with all its blessings, provisions, hopes and dreams, potentials – and challenges !! Oh those challenges !! The hind sight of parents sees their challenges so clearly, yet is constrained to hold back and allow them to find the way themselves within their own personality, mindset, aspirations and outlook for life.
It is enough for me and my husband to know that they ‘will be taught by the Lord and great will be their peace’. Though we ache to be near them geographically as they walk their walk, I rejoice and am elated in that through prayer – and through the assurance of His promises to us, distances are of no consequence and are never a hurdle. Because He is omnipresent and “His eyes go back and forth all over the world to see how that He may bless His children ….”, I rest assured that all my children are in good hands – His loving hands.
Har ek vaadha uska hota hai pura Every one of His promises are fulfilled
